January 7th & 8th Crop and Workshop ...

I've finished making the three cards that we'll be making at the workshop on Saturday, January 8, 2011.  This workshop is being held during the 2-day crop at St. Stephens United Methodist Church.  The crop is Friday, January 7, 2011 from 10 am until 6 pm and Saturday, January 8, 2011 from 10 am until 4 pm.  If you want to come to crop, the fee is $35 for both days.  The cost of the workshop is $15.  If you opt to do both the crop and the workshop, your fee is $40.  What a deal!

I will supply all papers, card bases, envelopes, stamps, inks, embellishments and foam mounting for height.  You will need to supply your own adhesive and scissors.

All papers, stamps and inks are Close To My Heart products with the exception of one tiny snowman stamp on the bottom left corner.  I couldn't find the 'perfect' little tiny stamp from my many CTMH stamp sets.  I think I have about 175, so go figure ... lol

You will make a total of six cards at the workshop and everything will already be pre-cut for you.  I believe this will take us no longer than 2.5 to 3 hours at the most.

I'd love to have 17 other croppers come and join us at St. Stephens for a wonderful time of cropping, stamping and fellowship!  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me at: terry@midsouthscrappers.com.

You'll need to pre-register for this crop and workshop by January 3rd!  Registration forms can be found at http://www.midsouthscrappers.com/ or I'll be glad to email you one!

Thanks so much!

A New Blog Just for Artwork and Hobbies ...

Hello Friends ~

First, I'd like to give a brief intro for those that begin following this blog that I haven't had the pleasure of meeting ... yet.  I'm married to Glynn, my best friend, soulmate and biggest supporter in all my endeavors.  We've been married almost 11 years and each of us have three children from previous marriages.  Between us, we have four grandchildren ranging in age from 2 to 8.  We're empty nesters and I'm a stay-at-home wife of which I'm very thankful for.  Glynn works some odd hours so me being at home is a plus in our lives.

Since becoming an independent consultant for Close to My Heart in October, it's been suggested that I create a blog specifically for my artwork.  While contemplating that idea, I decided that was a great idea!  Not only could I showcase my cards and scrapbooking creations, I could share my other hobbies as well.  As the blog indicates, I do have too many hobbies and there is never enough time to do all that I want to do but I'm certain I'm not alone in that statement!  Not only do I love making cards and scrapbooking but I also love to make primitive dolls, Santas, Uncle Sams and Miss Libertys.  I also enjoy making small, doll-sized quilts.  There's lots of other hobbies like counted cross stitch, crocheting, sewing, primitive lighted arrangements, etc. and you'll see some of those on here from time to time as well.

I do host a scrapbooking group, Mid South Scrappers, and host All Day and Into the Night Crops as well as weekend retreats.  I have a website specifically for that, http://www.midsouthscrappers.com/, and you can find plenty of information on there about what's happening, etc.  There is also a Mid South Scrappers group Facebook page that you can follow as well.  You are welcome to email me independently at: terry@midsouthscrappers.com with any questions you may have.  There won't be very much posting on this blog about those events as I want to keep this blog just for displaying my artwork and talents.

I will be hosting two card workshops in January!  The first one will be Saturday, January 8, 2011.  We will be making three different cards, two of each one for a total of six cards.  Two of the cards are "Thank You" cards and the other one is a snowman card which is almost complete.  I'll be posting pictures of those cards in my next post.

I'm also working on a card to showcase CTMH's January Stamp of the Month and will post a picture of that one when it's complete as well.

Until next time ... Have a great day!

Terry
